Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

LRL Labs LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates Analyze Hit Factor ("the Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Name
  • Password (stored and managed securely by Firebase Authentication)
  • USPSA member number (optional)
  • USPSA division and classification data (optional)
  • Profile handle (username)
  • Bio (optional)
  • Profile photo

User Content

When you use the Service, we collect content you submit, including:

  • Videos (stage recordings, including metadata such as file name, duration, resolution, and format)
  • Stage information (match name, date, location, division, notes, and visibility settings)
  • Comments on public stages
  • Likes and follows
  • Feedback and bug reports you submit

Technical and Device Data

We automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system and device platform
  • Network connection type
  • Screen and viewport dimensions
  • Pages visited and interactions within the Service

Authentication Data

If you sign in using a third-party provider (Google, Facebook, or Apple), we receive limited information from that provider, typically your name, email address, and profile photo, as permitted by your settings with that provider.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Create and manage your account
  • Process, analyze, and display your uploaded stage videos and related content
  • Enable community features such as public profiles, comments, likes, and follows
  • Send you notifications related to your account and content (e.g., when analysis is complete or a stage is published)
  • Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve the Service
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and abuse
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and moderate content
  • Develop new products, services, and features, including training machine learning models and artificial intelligence systems

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the Service. These services may process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies:

  • Firebase Authentication (Google)— manages account creation and sign-in, including social authentication via Google, Facebook, and Apple
  • Google Cloud Storage— stores uploaded videos and media assets
  • Google Cloud Tasks— processes background jobs such as video analysis
  • Google Analytics— collects anonymous usage data to help us understand how the Service is used (see section 8 for opt-out details)
  • Sentry— monitors application errors and performance to help us maintain reliability
  • Postmark— sends transactional email notifications (e.g., analysis results, published stages)

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Public content: User Content you set to public visibility (stages, profile information, comments, likes) is accessible to anyone on the internet
  • Service providers: We share data with the third-party service providers listed in Section 4, solely for the purpose of operating the Service
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or government request
  • Safety: We may disclose information when we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of LRL Labs LLC, our users, or the public
  • Business transfers: If LRL Labs LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at legal@analyzehitfactor.com.

Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will delete your account and personal data within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer where required by law, for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes or enforcing our Terms), or where deletion is not technically feasible (such as content already incorporated into aggregated, anonymized datasets or machine learning training data).

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at legal@analyzehitfactor.com.

8. Do Not Track and Analytics Opt-Out

We respect Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals and the Global Privacy Control (GPC). When we detect either signal, we disable analytics tracking for your session.

You can also opt out of analytics tracking at any time through your browser settings or by enabling Do Not Track. Our analytics implementation checks for these signals before collecting any usage data.

9. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication through Firebase, and access controls on our infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information (see Section 6)
  • Data portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Opt-out of analytics: Disable analytics tracking as described in Section 8

11. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
